Actors, Writers, Directors, Artists, Photographers, Models, Musicians, Make-up & Hair, Design, Fashion, etc. Any creative individual or group, regardless of skill, talents, technical knowledge, or commercial success.
We endeavor to foster a creative community that provides support, camaraderie and resources to those working to see their visions become reality. There is absolutely no charge and meetings are always open to the public.
Meetings will be held every 3rd Thursday of the month, at Goodrich Eastside 9 Theater, 7pm-9pm or until everyone chooses to leave or the place closes. *smile*

The Indiana Filmmakers Network will hold this month's meeting on April 13th at 7PM, at the Hamilton 16 IMAX.
This month's guest speaker will be 3D-FX artist Jeff Ello. Jeff will be showing what's possible in the world of integrating 3D graphics with live action footage.
We will also be kicking off our 2010 Spring Membership Drive. All new members will receive a free IFN T-Shirt with their $20 membership fee. Our membership has grown incredibly over the last year.Thank you, to all who have joined.
There will be the usual casual networking time before and after the guest speaker.
As always our meetings are open and free to anyone with an interest in filmmaking.

Tuesday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Cellar Door Restaurant, Ramada (formerly Holiday) Inn Downtown at 213 W. Washington Street. Free parking in the 4th & 5th floor of the attached parking garage.
Ed Ernstes, MAF Actors Chair, has acted in a number of regional independent films, and was an extra "Dark Night" and "Public Enemies." He will discuss the differences between theatre and film, what to expect at auditions, and the life of an actor on a movie set. He will show excerpts from several Midwest films and film director Tim Richardson will share his perspective on actors.
This free and open to the public presentation will take place at 7:30 p.m. immediately following our regular monthly Mid America Filmmakers meeting which begins at 7:00 p.m. You are welcome to join us for both.

The Wet Your Pants Comedy Film Festival announces submission dates for this year’s festival. Last year’s single-day event showcased 15 films from around the country. This year’s event hopes to be able to showcase more than 25 films from around the globe.
This year’s festival will entertain audiences on November 13 and 14 at the Indianapolis Art Center, Marilyn K. Glick School of Art, 820 E. 67th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46220. Festival proceeds will once again benefit the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana.
Submissions for the festival will be accepted starting on April 1, 2010. The early bird deadline is July 1, 2010 ($10), the regular deadline is August 1, 2010 ($15), and the late deadline is September 1, 2010 ($25). There is no limit on the number of films each filmmaker can submit, but a separate entry form and entry fee must be submitted for each film.

Wet Your Pants Comedy Film Festival is dedicated to raising money and awareness for kidney disease, which affects thousands of Americans and their families each and every day. The festival originated in honor of Steven Pearce who worked diligently to raise awareness of kidney disease before he succumbed to its complications in September of 2009.
Thursday, April 15, 2010 Join nationally recognized acting teacher, Richard Robichaux as he explores the journey of film acting from stage to screen and the challenges and opportunities this journey presents. Learn what the audition process entails for film and experience first-hand how the actor and creative team are able to transform their work to produce what you see on the movie theater screen. Robichaux will discuss the necessary skills and insights actors will need to step into the business of acting for the camera.
