Fresh Fruit Pie is a new video series produced in South Bend, Indiana that sparks a revolution in family entertainment. It's a variety show, like Saturday Night Live, but delivers non-stop laughs for people of all ages!

This is for the July 15th meeting of the Lafayette chapter of The Indiana Filmmakers Network, at the Goodrich Eastside 9 Theater, 7pm-9pm.

July's meeting will feature many guest speakers, with a focus on Cameras & SPFX in film. Our guest speakers, will be talking on their personal experiences and the technical aspects on different camera, etc. All interested are encouraged to attend, please help spread the word and feel free to bring guests!

The IFN works to facilitate dialogue among film and video makers in the state of Indiana, as well as any and all aspects of film, theater, and the arts. Actors, Writers, Directors, Artists, Photographers, Models, Musicians, Make-up & Hair, Design, Fashion, etc. Any creative individual or group, regardless of skill, talents, technical knowledge, or commercial success.

We endeavor to foster a creative community that provides support, camaraderie and resources to those working to see their visions become reality. There is absolutely no charge and meetings are always open to the public.

Meetings will be held every 3rd Thursday of the month, at Goodrich Eastside 9 Theater, 7pm-9pm or until everyone chooses to leave or the place closes. *smile*

Inconjunction, the Indianapolis area's longest running Scifi/Fantasy Convention, will be hosting a wide selection of panels geared towards film making. The convention will be held July 2nd-4th at the Marriott Hotel at I-70 and Shadeland Ave. Subjects include Script Writing, Acting, HD Cameras, Green Screens, Special FX, Film Making 101, Fan Films, Foley, Camera & Grip, and Ultra Low Budget Film Making.

Many Indie filmmakers will be on hand to share their advise and experience.

 

INDIANA FILM SELECTED FOR SAN DIEGO COMIC CON 2010

CARMEL, In. – June 28, 2010. Carmel based RACSO Motion Pictures has announced one of its films has been selected to be screened at this year’s San Diego Comic Con.

The film, “A Time For The Heart”, is RACSO’s sixth feature film, and stars New York based actress Laura Hammer and Indianapolis natives Chris Spurgin, David Briggs, Joe Urban, and Larry Adams. The film also features an original score from Greek composer Konstantinos Zacharopoulos.

“This is a remarkable triumph for RACSO,” said the film’s writer/director Christopher Allen. “Just to be accepted in this festival is a noteworthy achievement, considering the film industry executives who viewed and accepted this.

July Indiana Filmmakers Network Meeting - Head Shots & Resumes

July's Indiana Filmmakers Network Meeting will feature a headshot clinic and a resume round-table discussion. We will have two photographers on hand to take photos of the attendees. Due to the constrains of time we ask that you restrict yourselves to one outfit. We will be scheduling the sessions in advance of the meeting. If you are interested in have photos taken please email cbudreau@yahoo.com there will only be 24 slots available so the earlier you respond the more likely you'll be able to take advantage of this deal. The photographers will not be charging a sitting. You may purchase prints or digital copies from them directly. We are also hoping to have make-up artists present to assist you. (we're still looking for the make-up artists, if interested in helping please let us know.)

The meeting will be held at the Hamilton 16 IMAX, Hamilton Town Center, exit 10 I69 at 7PM Tuesday July 13th.

Indianapolis, IN – June 29, 2010 – The Indianapolis-produced motion picture, “Amanda,” will be featured at the Indianapolis International Film Festival, which runs July 15 through July 25. “Amanda,” will show on Tuesday, July 20 at 9:15 PM.
