Three Documentaries by Gary Wood

The team that produced "Saving Star Wars" and "Open Mic'rs" are producing three documentaries simultaneously by the end of 2008. They are forming a new corporation called 3 Docs Productions and are opening up 25 shares for public participation.
The documentaries are:
1. “My Kid Brother’s Band” will be Executive Produced by Louise Harrison and tells about the 1963 visit to small town America by her brother George. It was the first landing of a Beatle in America and NO ONE KNEW WHO HE WAS. The Beatles didn’t play The Ed Sullivan Show until Feb 1964 so, as Louise says, “He was the only one to be able to know what it was like to live amongst Americans as a real person.” Other exciting facts: The first Beatles record was played on the radio during this visit to a small town, he played with a group called The Four Vests at the local V.F.W, and he bought a guitar in the town that he took with him all over the world and now sits in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Again, should be fun, quirky and high-profile. It is said that there is no new Beatles information—this is it. It’s the story that you can’t believe hasn’t been told yet. Louise will be in this movie and telling the story along with residents of the town that played with and met George during his visit…NONE of them believing George was in a band that was No 1. in Europe until…..”Isn’t that George on The Ed Sullivan Show?” 3 minute trailer available.
2. “One Wild and Crazy City” details the 1979-80’s feud between Steve Martin and the city of Terre Haute. It began with Martin’s comments in Playboy where he called Terre Haute “Nowhere-ville USA.” The City responded with a challenge for Martin to return. He did…and they messed with him during his entire visit. Martin retaliated by destroying the city with a Nazi cheese mold in “Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid” and has since ribbed the city whenever possible. OWCC will be a fun and quirky look at this good-natured feud. The production will interview the sons of both city Mayor’s at the time of the battle (both Mayor’s are deceased) and, hopefully, Steve Martin.
3. "Sissies” tells the true story of two sisters that could not be more different. One is a World Champion du athlete in prime physical condition, never been married and is a proud lesbian. The other is a comedian, on her third marriage…and has MS. It should be a funny yet poignant look at how two sisters can have the same up-bringing yet turn out so different. It will also have the added drama/humor of witnessing the sisters discuss one’s homosexuality for the first time. Production has already begun with footage of the athlete WINNING the 2007 World Dualthalon sponsored by McDonald's. She is 44 and finished FIRST in her age group and was the THIRD female finisher overall in this grueling event.
3Docs Productions is looking for Associate and Executive Producers of these documentaries. NOTE: There only 6 shares remaining at this time.
